Renovated offices brought fresh energy to a.j. Veneklasen, and they wanted the office decor to represent this tone. The LaFontsee Galleries team worked with the company to select original works by local artists and fine art prints for the space. The new featured artwork enlivened the rooms and expressed the creative mood of AJV.
One hallway in the office features a "brag wall" of photographed AJV projects. LG was responsible for printing, framing and installing the pieces. Simple and sleek dark gray frames were chosen in order to emphasize the photographs and the unique picture wall layout. The frames are hung on a French cleat, instead of a hook, for shelf-like stability. This style of picture hanging technique not only allows for easy swap-out of photographs, but will help maintain security of the wall in a busy hallway.
"Our design experience from the very first meeting all the way through install was superb! Linda has a kind and inviting energy and it made the overwhelming task of selecting artwork to be an enjoyable experience. Her knowledge of the artwork, the artists and their stories made me feel like I was being invited to partake in a secret piece of history, and that history was going to become part of our own office space. We recently renovated our commercial office. As beautiful as the space was with new finishes, it still felt bare. Linda met with us, got a feel for who we are and the cultural energy in our office. She then hand selected pieces specifically with us in mind. And she nailed it! I could not help but smile as the pieces were unveiled. Throughout the whole process, Linda was proactive in her communication and the install went smoothly without a hiccup. Now as I walk through our space, it feels like home. It has a warmth to it that I feel could only have been accomplished through artwork and accessories. Several employees and guests have commented to the cohesive nature of our office space. I cannot more highly recommend LaFontsee Galleries. We were not disappointed and I plan to reach out to them with future design projects.”
