Missy Morrow • Statement
I love to paint and draw birds. They have so much personality. Compare the intense power of swans chasing geese from the nesting grounds to the flitting titmouse on the feeder next to the kitchen window to the silent and mysterious herons that occasionally fly overhead only to land in the fen just out of sight. They represent a freedom that we all catch a glimpse of every once in a while. Being alive, it’s a good thing.
I studied Graphic Illustration at the Center for Creative Studies and am currently pursuing fine art painting. My acrylic work has recently been displayed in exhibitions at the Grand Rapids Arts Museum, the Holland Arts Council, and the Muskegon Museum of Art.
