Elizabeth Tubergen • Statement
I explore the space between people, architecture, and words. My methodology incorporates fearless belief powered by human muscle, vulnerability, and a monumentality of patient labor. I am interested in hope, loss, leftovers, the unsaid, the genuine, the pathetic, and the reliable. I create objects and actions that incite curiosity and suggest a re-consideration of space and locational identity. My work has been shown at various locations, including the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in Michigan, Solar One in New York, and the Visual Arts Alliance in Texas. I live and work nomadically in Georgia and Michigan.
